On the 1st of each month, a new series of workouts will be loaded in your app. Every month we focus on a slightly different combination of exercises to get you stronger and avoid boredom.

3 Workouts/Week

We’ve found that for most people, 3 days a week is the perfect amount of commitment to get results. These 3 workouts progress in volume, intensity, or both, so that by the end of the month, you can realize your recent gains.

Whether you have access to a full gym or are working out at home, we’ve got a program for you. We make recommendations on how to make each exercise harder or easier (with weight or without) but if you don’t have access to the equipment suggested below the No Equipment version is the best fit for you.
Don’t worry – if your situation changes, you can switch from the no-equipment version to the full equipment version or vice versa.

Full Equipment 20SC

Best if you have access to a gym or the following equipment:

  • barbell & rack
  • plates
  • assorted dumbbells
  • pull up bar
  • adjustable bench
  • mini-bands, long bands
  • exercise ball
  • glute ham raise machine

*Can be modified if you don’t have access to all of the above.

No Equipment 20SC

$20/Month

Best if you have limited access to or no equipment.

Includes everything in the Full Equipment 20SC, modified to be done without weights or equipment.

Sport Performance 20sc

$20/Month

Best if you have access to a gym and all the equipment from full equipment 20SC plus you want:

 

  • Plyometric variations to maintain or build your athleticism, coordination and vertical jump
  • Olympic lifting variations for more power + speed development
  • The same great strength programming and accessory work as regular 20SC
  • For those who want a *little more* than just strength in their training program.
  • Great for former athletes. Still an athlete at heart? Train like it.

FAQs

What is the benefit to getting this program versus just using workouts out of a Men's or Women's Health Magazine?

For one, these workouts will be tailored by a certified exercise physiologist and strength coach, with a Master’s of Kinesiology, unlike most other programs. Secondly, this program is designed to follow traditional periodization (planned increase in volume and intensity over time) so that you improve and get stronger throughout the month. Third, you have us, your virtual trainers, if you have any questions or need suggestions for modifications. Fourth, you have an app to connect with fellow $20SC members to support you!

What if I can't make 3 days per week of strength workouts consistently?

No worries, we recommend following the same workout each week if you don’t make it to all 3. For example, if you can only make 1 per week, stick with the Day 1 of the program each week. If you can only make 2 workouts, repeat Day 1 and Day 2 each week and just skip Day 3.

What equipment do I need?

You will get the most out of this program if you have access to the following: barbell, plates, assorted dumbbells, barbell rack or pull up bar, adjustable bench, mini-bands, long bands, and an exercise ball.

Is cardio included?

No, this program is strictly for weight lifting.

Will this program help with body composition improvement, or just strength gains?

Because a key component of improving your body composition is increasing your metabolic rate, and increasing lean muscle mass, this program will aid in both strength gains and body composition improvement.

Is this program customized?

No, this is not a custom program, but it is semi-customizable. This means that on any day, for any lift, the app will let you sub the lift that we have programmed for any other lift in our database of 1000’s of exercises. If you’d like a program that is more customized, we do offer a custom strength training program.

Can I pause or cancel my subscription?

Yes you can cancel it at any time (no pauses). Refunds are not possible due to the digital nature of this product.

What if I need a substitution for an exercise?

Ask us directly via the app, OR the TeamBuildr app will allow you to “opt out” of any exercise you want by selecting another exercise from our exercise library on your own.

What if I don’t know an exercise on my program?

There will likely be months when there are multiple exercises you’ve never tried before. Each exercise will have a video demonstrating and explaining the basics of the exercise – created by us. If you need further modifications, please reach out and we can help!

What if I don't have access to all the equipment needed?

We also have a no-equipment needed program! In our videos, we make recommendations how to make each exercise harder or easier (with weight or without), but if you don’t have access to very much equipment, the no-equipment program is likely best for you.

Can I switch from full equipment to no-equipment or vice versa?

Yes, you can send us a message on the app or via email and we can switch you easily between programs, as many times as you need to switch!

With the addition of $20 Strength Club Sports Performance, you can also try out that program at any time in substitution for whichever program variation you initially bought.

Can I try the Sports Performance Club?

Yes, you can send us a message after purchase to try out Sports Performance Club (with olympic lifting and plyometrics) at any time. If you start by purchasing this program, and want to switch to only strength programming at any point, you can do that!
